Roger Ver: Bitcoin Cash is not perfect, there’s room for improvement

Crypto enthusiast Roger Ver recently talked about his reasons for shifting from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash, what it was like to do crypto business in the U.S. and which place he believed was the most crypto-friendly location in the world. Until November 2017, he strongly advocated the policy of Bitcoin Core, after which he started proclaiming that Bitcoin Cash is the “the real Bitcoin”. In a recent interview with Coin Telegraph, he explained, “I am on the exact same side I have always been, which is peer-to-peer electronic cash for the world.” “And sadly, using a bunch of censorship, propaganda, personal attacks and trolling on the internet, the BTC version of Bitcoin has morphed from having the goal [to] be peer-to-peer electronic cash for the world into being a peer-to-peer science project or store-of-value project,” he added. He went on to say that Bitcoin Cash is the same version of Bitcoin which was described in the Bitcoin white paper. “And the thing that everyone is calling Bitcoin in the media today — it has the name ‘Bitcoin’ but it doesn't have any of the characteristics that made Bitcoin popular to begin with and it doesn't have most of the entrepreneurs that made Bitcoin popular to begin with,” he explained. He also stated that Bitcoin Cash is not perfect and there’s always room to improve anything in the world. On the subject of carrying out crypto business in the U.S., he said that the it regulatory framework was not fair. “[The government officials] literally have secret undercover government agents going on LocalBitcoins, trying to buy Bitcoins from people. And when they sell them the Bitcoins, they arrest the people and toss them in jail for years. This is madness! And this needs to [be] stopped,” he asserted. He added, “Man, you are living on the edge [by] doing business in the U.S. — when it comes to cryptocurrency. You are living dangerously to do so.” According to Ver, Malta is the best for crypto business. He believes that countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Cyprus have the most economic freedom in the world.
