Coinbase announces support for 0x protocol [ZRX] token

One of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, Coinbase announced on Tuesday that it now supports ZRX at Coinbase.com and in the Coinbase Android and iOS apps. This announcement was made by Coinbase in its Medium blog. The customers can now buy, sell, send, receive, or store ZRX, along with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, and Litecoin. While this service will be available in most jurisdictions, it will not be available for residents of the United Kingdom or the state of New York initially. They will have to wait for some more time. This latest development comes on the heels of the news on October 12, when the exchange announced that it will accept deposits for ZRX token on its professional trading platform Coinbase Pro. The blog goes on to add that to cater to customers’ demand of having more tokens to trade on the platform, the crypto exchange announced a new and comprehensive for listing assets on the exchange last month. The new process replaced the old ad hoc process with a more comprehensive and structured framework, which the company expects will expand the range of assets traded on the platform. An announcement to this effect was made in a Medium blog last month which stated: “We’re announcing a new process that will allow us to rapidly list most digital assets that are compliant with the local law, by satisfying listing requests in a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction manner. In practice, this means some new assets listed on our platform may only be available to customers in select jurisdictions for a period of time.” In another development on Tuesday, the exchange announced that it has opened a new office in Dublin. The exchange will join the list of banks and financial firms that cater to European Union (EU) needs even after Brexit. Since new active customers keep emerging in Europe, Zeeshan Feroz, UK Chief Executive, Coinbase assured help from the Dublin office to increase expansion of the exchange throughout Europe which is Coinbase’s fastest growing area. “It ticks a lot of boxes – ranging from giving us a contingency, helping us plan for all eventualities for Brexit and engaging with Europe through another base,” he said.
