Ex- Bitcoin maximalist & Roger Ver explain why people are switching from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash

Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com, recently had a conversation with Zane Tackett, head of OTC sales at crypto loquidity provider B2C2. During the discussion, they spoke about institutions and cryptocurrency enthusiasts switching from Bitcoin [BTC] to Bitcoin Cash [BCH] and other altcoins. According to Roger Ver, Tackett has seen progression since he used to be a BTC Maximalist and was someone who did not care much for BCH. Adding to which, Tackett mentioned that he regularly used BTC and also accepted his salary in the form of the cryptocurrency. He went on to say that for the first time, he used Ethereum [ETH] for a transaction when BTC started charging $50 for each transaction. He stated, "I remember sitting at my computer and going ‘oh my god I can’t believe I’m about to use Ethereum over Bitcoin and I was a Bitcoin maximalist through and through. I had earlier fought against having Ethereum added to BitFinex.  And then it hit me like a ton of that I can’t use the Bitcoin network anymore." He mentioned other reasons for moving away from the BTC network, adding that he found out what was happening to the companies that built the token and individuals who got into the cryptocurrency space. To this, Roger Ver added, “Yeah, the Bitcoin core fanboys even claimed that Brian Armstrong from Coinbase, the company that’s brought more people to the cryptocurrency space than anyone else that he was attacking Bitcoin! Like, what a bunch of nonsense.” Tackett also added that he had a decent paying job and immediate confirmation of transactions wasn't something he needed. However, getting it confirmed over several days was a hassle. He believes that the coin's core community lacks foresight. Roger Ver concluded, “I think it’s true. A lot of these core supporters, they have cloudy hindsight. We can see exactly what happened. The industry moved away from BTC. They started integrating all sorts of altcoins and they still can’t see what happened.
