Charles Hoskinson shares what is going on within Cardano, shares upcoming events & more

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently shared comments regarding the recent update, the growth of the ecosystem, a potential split between Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) and Cardano Foundation, and more. Cardano is governed by three independent bodies – Cardano Foundation, IOHK and Emurgo. Recently, the chairmen of IOHK and Emurgo revealed that the Foundation is not performing well. In a recent interview with The Crypto Lark, Hoskinson spoke about the recent open letter – a joint statement from Hoskinson and Emurgo CEO Ken Kodama. "The fundamentals of Cardano are still sound, nothing materially has changed," Hoskinson stated. He added that the letter was because of disappointment and frustration rather than concerns of a crisis. He then revealed that the team would soon come out with a number of exciting projects. Hoskinson is currently in Toronto, attending a cryptography conference where the team would give a presentation on Ouroboros Genesis. “One of our scientists actually flew here from Switzerland and we’re gonna do a video and this is the first time we’ve ever talked about our sharding design that we have for Cardano […] This is the first paper with parallel chains paper that we’ve written so it’s like our take on DAGs and our take on how to shard things,” he said. He commented on other updates, including videos about Shelley and the Rust project, and mentioned that Duncan - the team developer - is in the ‘beast mode’ at the moment and "...he’s having the time life you know writing specs and actually doing the code the right way throwing away all this error code.” Hoskinson also mentioned that the 1.3.1 update will be released soon and the 1.4 update is ahead of its schedule as far as the QA testing is concerned, which takes a longer time. “We’ve started hiring more people and it’s actually the first time we’re having multiple companies in the ecosystem contributing to that, so it looks like Emurgo is gonna provide Rust developers in addition to IOHK for Rust Cardano,” he added.
