Founder of new Bitcoin Cash (BCH) social media blockchain platform shares details about it

Matter.cash, a new on-chain social media platform entered the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem recently. The details of which were shared by the founder of the platform Attila Aros in a recent interview. During the one-on-one session with CoinGeek, some interesting facts behind the platform were shared by the founder. Aros mentioned why the platform was developed in the first place by stating his love for internet discussion forums and social media platforms such as Reddit. They wanted to create something that will allow people to connect, share as well as earn money without any problem that comes with the centralised social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit. The reason why Bitcoin Cash was chosen for it was because of its scaling growth and ultra-low fees. In fact, for apps like Matter.cash, Bitcoin Cash blockchain is most suitable since only it can handle the high data throughput and very low transaction fees required for the app. Aros also shared that it took about a few weeks of planning, making key decisions around “Permissionless Usage” and a month of full-time development work. According to CoinGeek report, in future, the company wants build the platform into a decentralized publishing and discussion platform. It would be something very similar to Reddit but open and federated just like Mastodon. They hope that in the next 10-20 years, “formidable permissionless competitors” to social media companies like Facebook, Twitter and Reddit will start emerging and will start taking substantial market share. Also, in future, they’re planning to release new features like user-owned communities. With this, users will be able to create “Submatters”, grow subscribers, customize the look and feel, and also earn BCH for operating a successful community. They’re also planning to introduce a ‘Trust and Voting Model’ where users can vote on posts and comment, so that the best content gets the attention. However, the main challenge with this is to avoid the pitfalls present in the existing voting schemes, so that manipulation of votes doesn’t take place.
