Британский регулятор оценил выгоду от запрета криптовалютных деривативов

Управление по финансовому регулированию и надзору Великобритании (FCA) начало консультации по поводу тотального запрета криптовалютных деривативов для розничных инвесторов. Об этом сообщается в официальном релизе ведомства. В частности, речь идет о запрете «продажи, продвижения или распространения» контрактов на разницу цен (CFD), биржевых нот, опционов и фьючерсов. FCA указывает, что криптовалютные активы «нерегулируемы», а также не имеют «надежной основы для оценки». Также регулятор отмечает чрезвычайную волатильность крипторынка, распространенность манипуляций и финансовых преступлений. Исходя из этого, FCA не видит «очевидной инвестиционной потребности» в криптовалютных деривативах. Более того, ведомство подсчитало, что потенциальная выгода для розничных потребителей от запрета этих продуктов составит от £75 млн до £234,3 млн в год.
