Bittrex all set to launch Tron [TRX] and Litecoin [LTC] USD trading pairs
On Wednesday, the US-based crypto exchange-turned fiat gateway platform, Bittrex announced that it will be opening USD markets for Tron [TRX] and Litecoin [LTC]. The USD pairs will be launched on the platform on 17th September 2018. All this goes back to 31 May 2018 when the exchange announced that it was offering US dollar (fiat) trading for corporate customers and planning "to expand these services over time to include all qualified customers." Bittrex CEO, Bill Shihara, had then said: “As an incubator and leading advocate of blockchain technology, Bittrex is committed to listing tokens that not only have the best business applications, but also are the most innovative blockchain projects in the world. Expanding fiat markets to the top digital currencies on our exchange should further drive adoption of this revolutionary technology by providing customers even more options for purchasing and trading digital currencies in a secure, robust and reliable environment with high liquidity.” The trend continued with Bittrex adding Ethereum (ETH) to USD fiat markets in June. Later in August Bittrex announced that it would be launching USD markets for XRP and Ethereum Classic (ETC). As reported by BC Focus, on 29 August 2018 the exchange announced the addition of two new USD trading pairs of Cardano and ZCash to its trading platform. And this latest announcement on Wednesday by Bittrex has brought smiles to many of the Tron (TRX) and Litecoin (LTC) fans: As Bittrex has said before, it is going to continue adding tokens/coins to its USD markets. Earlier the company had said regarding the timeline for other cryptocurrencies to get USD trading pair: "We’re starting with a limited number of pairs to evaluate our systems and processes, and our plan is to continue to add fiat trading to the top digital currencies on our platform. We’re reviewing the blockchain projects we already list, listening to our customers’ trading preferences and taking other important considerations into account as we decide which USD trading pairs will be next for fiat." According to the statement released by Bittrex, the USD markets aim to decrease the dominance and influence of one coin on other tokens in the cryptocurrency space.
